Okay, yes…. Christians tell lies to non-Christians, by accident or by intent, but I'm not talking about these. No, I'm referring to the lies that Christians tell each other. Typically, this is done by religious leaders of one form or another, and the lies are told to those who'll listen.
Case in point: a radio piece known as "The Creation Moment." The latest one I heard was talking about evolution. This segment seems intent on defaming the whole concept, and they're willing to lie like crazy to do it. The one I listened to recently went so far as to say that carbon dating is completely bogus, that scientists, in fact, make up the information they give out regarding carbon dating. It went on to say that the only reliable source of ancient history is, of course, the Bible.
Both claims are insanely wrong. Carbon dating is real, and the Bible is about as historically accurate as Mel Brooks' History of the World movies.
I received an e-mail not long ago from a visitor to this site inquiring about all the scientific evidence that is supporting the existence of a Creator. He directed me to one of many sites on the Web that espouses this theory. Once again, all lies. There is zero scientific evidence to support the idea of a Creator.
The site in question didn't actually make such a claim with regard to the couple articles I read. It did, however, point out errors in the evolutionary argument, as if this was some sort of proof that evolution is wrong and creation is true. As I replied to the visitor, evolution is fact, not theory. How it works is still theoretical, but the fact that it does exist is not disputable.
But this site, and the radio show, are both prime examples of deception on the part of Christian leaders who have as part of their agenda the brainwashing of their followers, turning them against science by making them think that science is wrong or that scientists are the ones telling lies.
This is completely reprehensible, but sadly, not much lower than I've come to expect from such people.
