The cover of one local paper recently had yet another pair of psycho parents who trusted in God to save their dying toddler. Even when the kid started bleeding profusely, they trusted in their mythical creator to save him. Now they're being charged with involuntary manslaughter.

I've written before about stupid parenting. I wrote of how there are many parents who most certainly are to blame for their kids growing up with messed up minds. But this goes beyond that. This is parents who aren't even allowing their kids to grow up at all.

I think it should be considered a crime: "gross stupidity and/or ignorance." It would be a misdemeanor, but would also have the effect of elevating any crime it's attached to by one factor, giving these bozos, for example, a charge of voluntary manslaughter.

Parents who do this, and there seem to be a shitload of them in the greater Philadelphia area, should lose custody of their children and be sterilized. They've proven that they're incapable of taking care of a child, so they shouldn't be permitted to have any.

If I, as a kid, had acted as irresponsibly toward a puppy, I wouldn't have been allowed to have a puppy. Just stands to reason that the same kind of rule should be in effect for parenting.

Human life is too precious to toy around with, too fragile to subject to the insane edicts of a faith that snubs its nose at science and reason.
